KDE SmartNotify Plasmoid
Source: http://www.documentroot.net/en/linux/kde-smartnotify-plasmoid
Are you sick of KDE notifications popping up under your mouse cursor and distracting you from the things you are doing? I am. That brought me to the idea for two new plasmoids: one of them displays notifications while the other one shows the status of jobs (file copying, etc) – and both do their job in a very unobtrusive way. No popups, just pure functionality.
The plasmoids can be downloaded via KDE-Look. Unfortunately I had to write them in C++ because Python’s D-Bus module is too buggy. So I apologize that you have to compile it yourself, but it’s not that hard, just read the INSTALL file.
